Hereford College of Arts is a dedicated arts school with a specialist focus on art, media, design, craft, music and performing arts.  Programmes include thirteen creative BA (Hons) degrees and three Masters courses, as well as a range of post-16 college-level programmes and all-age short courses.

Our mission is to empower creativity and enrich our world through transformative arts education. Our degrees courses scored among the highest in the country in the 2023 National Student Survey and our post-16 courses are rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

This year we are celebrating 170 years of creative education in Hereford but our focus as an institution is on the future of the arts. The world needs creativity more than ever and we are committed to equipping our students with the skills, experience and appetite to go out and shape the world around them and build rich and fulfilling lives for themselves.

The college and the city are engaged a multi-million pound investment programme with skills and creativity at its heart.  HCA is currently developing a new ten-year strategy, to be published in 2024, which will build on this and other opportunities to support the growth of ambitious creative industries and build a sustainable creative future for the region.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clerk to the Corporation. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that the Corporation meets all statutory and advisory requirements for Governance, and advising the Corporation with regard to the operation of its powers, procedural matters, and governance practice.

The successful applicant must possess the drive, thoroughness and enthusiasm for such a pivotal role, possess excellent administrative skills and be flexible in their approach.  Relevant experience is essential.
