Beginners Silversmithing - BA Jewellery Image

This course is designed to cover the essential techniques of silversmithing and jewellery, tailored to beginners.

Overview

You will be introduced to the basics through tutorials, tasks and demos including etching, enamelling, forming and raising, texturing and making a stacking silver ring. You will become confident using the workshop and be encouraged to develop the skills and techniques required to produce your own individual projects.

Base metals are supplied to get you started. Students will have the opportunity to purchase and work with their own precious materials. You will be advised of any additional materials that you might require, based on how your personal project develops.

About the Tutor

Jade Kondal's art reflects deep admiration for architecture and the beauty of geometry. Her jewellery pieces embody fearless expression, and she is constantly pushing boundaries to create pieces that are both bold and elegant. Through a blend of precise lines and daring compositions, she strives to evoke a sense of awe and wonder in the wearer, inviting them to explore the intersections of art, space, and emotion.

Jade is a graduate of HCA's BA (Hons) Jewellery Design.
