Most students under-19 don't pay tuition fees - but there are still opportunities available to get financial support as a Foundation student, or as a mature student on our Portfolio course.

Course fees


All students are also required to pay an up-front course fee to cover studio and material costs and off-campus visits. This is usually around £250, and is payable at the start of the course. Financial support may be available to assist with course fees if required. 

There are no tuition fees charged for the Foundation Diploma at HCA if you are If you are aged under-19 at the start of the course and permanent UK resident. 

If you are aged 19 years or over at the start of the course, or you are an EU or international student, you will be required to pay tuition fees (see the table below).  

Students aged 19 Years or over and the start of the course and permanently resident in England or Wales may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan. These loans pay tuition fees charged by the College and are available from Student Finance England. To qualify the student’s household income is not considered and learners will not have to repay anything until they have left College and their income is above the repayment threshold.
