Most students don't pay tuition fees, but there are small costs associated with each course - and opportunities to get financial support.

Course fees

There are no tuition fees charged to students studying a Diploma or Extended Diploma course for students who are aged under-19 at the start of the course, and who are permanent UK residents.

Annual course fees range between £180 - £250, depending on your course. This covers studio materials and educational visits. All students are expected to pay annual course fees - however bursaries are available to help with this cost.

Students aged 19 years and over, studying a level 3 qualification may be eligible to apply for an Advanced Learning Loan. These loans pay for tuition fees charged by the College and are available from Student Finance England. To qualify. Household income is not considered and learners will not have to repay anything until after they have left College and earning above the repayment threshold. To find out the cost of studying a level 3 qualification, please contact the Finance Department finance@hca.ac.uk.

If you are an EU or International student, you will be liable to pay tuition fees. The cost of studying a full Level 3 Course for overseas students for 2025-26 is £12,420 per year.
