Biography

With over 40 years of experience, Henry has taught blacksmithing internationally and currently works with HCA and the National School of Blacksmithing. 

Henry Pomfret has been a professional blacksmith for over forty years, running his own business for several decades and teaching internationally in Botswana, the USA, and Canada. Since 2000, he has been teaching at the National School of Blacksmithing

Henry is a Fellow and a Licentiate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths (WCB), an honour recognizing his exceptional skill and dedication. He is also the current editor of Artist Blacksmith magazine, sharing his vast knowledge with the community. 

Throughout his career, Henry has inspired countless students and professionals, fostering a new generation of skilled blacksmiths. His work combines a deep respect for traditional techniques with a willingness to innovate, making him a highly respected figure in the blacksmithing community.
