Biography

Rebecca is an artist fascinated with the entanglement between land, place, ecology, people and wellbeing. She explores this through research-led art making and creating participatory events for people to share. Championing research and critical thinking skills, she is dedicated to helping students articulate their practice with confidence and clarity.

Teaching in the School of Materials and Design as a Practice in Context tutor, Rebecca is passionate about practice and theory in a symbiotic partnership. Championing research and critical thinking skills, she is dedicated to empowering her students with the capability to articulate their individual practice with a fluent confidence and clarity.

Rebecca has led a varied career – curating an East London project space, making art works, running creative workshops, supporting a thriving Artist Blacksmith practice. She has an academic training in Art History (BA Reading University), Fine Art (Diploma HCA) and Book Arts (MA Camberwell College of Art). This blend of industry experience and education affords a breadth of knowledge that is a valuable asset in meeting the varied interests and burgeoning practices of her cohort.
