Biography

Sally is a creative maker who has over thirty years of experience as a freelance artist, working to commission and exhibiting nationally. She specialised in bridal wear, costumes, and theatre sets. 

Sally teaches on the Art, Design and Communication course and leads HCA sewing short course. She holds a BA(Hons) in Design Crafts and a DET further education teaching qualification.

Sally has worked as a freelance artist for more than thirty years. Many of these years were spent specialising in vintage style bridal headdresses, exhibiting nationally. She has been commissioned to design and make a variety of crafts ranging from wedding dresses, cakes and bouquets to costumes and sets for performances and projects.

Sally has recently discovered the art of crochet and has become HCA’s crochet queen. She takes commissions for all sorts of crochet creations, including sculptures and taxidermy.
