No two artists are the same. That’s why our degree programmes are designed to allow you to feed your imagination, to move between disciplines and to develop a style and a portfolio that will stand out as uniquely yours.

At Hereford College of Arts you will be joining a creative project that started in 1873.

Surround yourself with original thinkers, designers and dreamers and be part of the next generation of HCA graduates to see the world as something bigger and more beautiful than it is - and then go and make their mark on it.

Turn your ideas into something extraordinary and leave with the confidence to craft a career for yourself.

As a dedicated arts school, our courses and our staff are closely connected to industry. The direct access you will have to creative professionals through small-group talks and real-life industry experience will help you build industry-relevant skills and shape your understanding of what you want your career to look like after graduation.

Our news

Staff helps students stage a professional product photo shoot for their design project

At HCA there is no house style, no three-month waitlist for workshop access, and you won’t get lost in the crowd.

The best learning happens in-person, thinking with your hands. Our scale means that you get the individual support and guidance you need to unlock your potential and make the most of your time as a student. You will also have full access to all our specialist workshops and studios and technical staff, no matter what course you study.

I'm going to miss is that community of fellow creatives you have around you. I think being able to bounce my ideas off everyone, having people come up to you and talk to you about your work - it's key to getting it to that next step and pushing it to another level.
