We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and skilled Theatre Technician to provide exceptional technical support and supervision in the College’s theatres and music studios.  

£24,081 PER ANNUM 

FULLTIME (42 WEEK TERM TIME ONLY MAY BE CONSIDERED)

As well as supporting staff and students in technical theatre, lighting and sound systems, the Theatre Technician will maintain equipment and supervise the safe and efficient operation of the performance spaces.

Applicants will need to have relevant experience in theatre lighting and sound systems, have excellent communication skills and be excited to work both independently and alongside a dynamic team of creative professional practitioners. 

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Has excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Will maintain a high standard of work and professionalism
  • Has experience working with lighting and audio systems within theatre & live music production
  • Has experience with music instrument maintenance and repair
  • Has the ability to work unsupervised and diligently
  • Has a desire to increase knowledge and competences
  • Feel confident in their ability to share safe working practices of equipment and resources with staff and students 

An Enhanced DBS check of the successful candidate will be undertaken and it is a requirement of the post that a clean DBS check is maintained.
